For collectors
Collector information.
What to expect when buying online, requesting a shipping quote, or arranging a private viewing with Hamel Gallery.
Private viewings
Works may be viewed by appointment in the Sacramento area when practical. Begin with an inquiry identifying the artwork you would like to see and a few possible dates.
Some works may require advance preparation or may not be available for an immediate appointment. The gallery will confirm the location, timing, and viewing arrangements directly.
Acquiring a work
Available works marked for online purchase can be bought directly from their artwork page through secure Stripe checkout. Choose local pickup or enter a U.S. delivery address to review a current shipping quote before payment.
You are also welcome to contact the gallery before buying for additional photographs, condition information, or an in-person viewing. An inquiry is a conversation and does not reserve or purchase a work.
Condition information
These are previously owned works and objects. Age, handling, materials, frames, and prior display can all affect condition.
Available observations and photographs are shared in good faith. Collectors are encouraged to request close-up images, measurements, frame details, or an in-person viewing before purchase.
Shipping & delivery
Shipping is charged separately unless a listing states otherwise. Eligible parcels use a current carrier rate based on the destination and recorded packed dimensions and weight. Oversize, freight, fragile, and unusually valuable works require a separate insured-delivery quote. Tracking is provided when available, and carrier delivery dates are estimates rather than guarantees. Report visible transit damage within 48 hours and keep all packaging for the carrier claim.
Because each work is unique and previously owned, purchases are considered final once accepted unless the listing or written sale terms state otherwise. If a work arrives materially different from its description, contact the gallery within 7 calendar days of delivery. Any approved return must be authorized in advance, remain in the condition received, and be packed and insured as directed. Original shipping charges are not refundable unless the gallery confirms an error or covered transit damage.
Catalogue notes
Artist, title, medium, date, dimensions, and provenance are recorded from signatures, labels, surviving documentation, and ongoing research.
Catalogue information is subject to verification. A careful qualification is preferred wherever the surviving record does not support certainty.
